Security Categories
Mortgage securities are categorised by predominant use of funds for risk ratings -
- Domestic residential - Domestic use defined by credit regulation
- Business or investment - Secured over residential or commercial property
- Development or construction - Erection of one or more dwellings or commercial or industrial buildings with construction cost being funded by ASL.
- Specialist lending - When ASL manage a mortgage security over real estate that may involve bridging finance, hotel, retirement village, special accommodation or land development - for a substantial investor or group of investors. Different lending criteria applies to these securities.

Self Custodian
ASL complies with stringent net tangible asset and licence requirements to be self custodian of all securities under its management.
